REVIEW: NYX Gotcha Covered Waterproof Concealer in Medium Olive

I'm not one to always wear a concealer to hide my blemishes, as I feel like my current foundation consistently does a pretty good job on its own, but uh, the word waterproof totally sold me on this one! My beach holiday is around the corner so yes, just throw anything waterproof my way please and thank you :)!

This concealer comes in ten different shades with a good variety of different tones. By taking a brief look at them in store, I think you could easily find your shade or even mix them.

I picked up the shade medium olive which I swatched first in store.
This concealer promises to be long-lasting and waterproof whilst providing effective coverage with a healthy-looking glow.

It comes packaged in a sleek black tube which I like. The consistency is quite thick, so I highly wouldn't recommend you to use this particular product under the eyes, especially if you lean more towards the dryer skin type.

Once applied it's quite dewy, though it applies well and covers my discolouration fairly well too! After applying my foundation and concealer, I set it with my translucent setting powder. I have combination skin so that step is a must, and the concealer lasted well throughout the day without separating!

I also did a waterproof test and I've got to say, it's pretty impressive and NYX definitely stuck to their promise. Lets see if it lasts me after a day on the beach though, huh?

I've read other reviews and its definitely mixed, but from using it over the past week or so I probably wouldn't recommend it if you have dryer skin or if you have a few fine-lines or wrinkles.

Overall, these concealers are at a great price for £5.50, so it won't hurt your wallet's too much if you were to go out on the whim and give them a go. If you have acne prone skin and quite a few blemishes then I probably wouldn't recommend it. Though if you have a few blemishes, redness and discolouration like myself, then this is a decent concealer for the price, and will also give you a fair share of uses too!

Have you guys tried this concealer? What do you think?

with love, P x
